Sorry man, that's really sad. If it means anything, my family and I really enjoyed your act and found it unique and entertaining. I stopped watching it because everyone rides in their back story, if you were maimed in a freak accident, are a veteran, or a cute kid, you're in, if you are actually talented but don't have a big story, then ya just don't make it. It made me so mad to see all the true talent great voted off because someone had a better back story. So I just quit watching. I'm really sorry this happened to you, you didn't deserve it. ☹️🌹

I stopped watching AGT because singers and dancers are pretty much the only acts that make it to the end of the show. There are dozens of sing and dance shows, group or solo, yet a show that opens the door to magic, Vegas acts, Carnival routines, etc. those acts rarely make it to the end. It makes no sense.

df2ll she was crazy lol. She got mad because she was an idiot. The judges had a point when she said she wanted to separate from pink and do her own thing, then she sings pink... thats stupid. @កម្ពុជា-វ5ភ7 жыл бұрын
Tim Wienand No, but that's exactly the point. Zoe didn't chose the Pink song. The producers chose it for her. Which is why she started screaming at the judges (who were not at fault, just the producers) that they told her to sing a pink song. She seriously got screwed over, wanting to sing a non-pink song, and the bgt production making her sing a pink song, and then getting criticised by the judges for doing that. I mean, she definitely over-reacted, but you can see why she'd be so upset.

There's only one way to win this: - Be arbitrarily selected by the producers - Have above average skills in a stage-compatible talent The rest is curated by the show's producers in every way. my sister was on it and they were terrible people. when she got kicked off and told she wasn't what they were looking for (after being told she was fantastic and that they loved her for the 4 auditions prior) they told her that this must be so hard for her and to let all the emotions go (she wasn't sad in the least) and that she should cry. she didn't because she was not upset, so they didn't air her. all they want is drama. but that's only the tip of the iceberg. they wouldn't let her preform the songs she prepared, and had her learn a song she didn't know or want to sing 15 mins before going onstage.

You ignored the fact that statistically speaking, the show tends to favor singing acts more then any other act, with the fact that Olaty dogs was the first non singing act to win AGT. Along with the fact that out of all the instances of the golden buzzer being used it’s been used almost every time for a singing act, with I think maybe at least 10 non singing acts getting the golden buzzer. And yes I know in season 2 a guy who did puppets won, but he was also a singing act too so until season 7, that was the closes to a non singing act we had win.

Jackie Flowers I would sue them. I don't know how it goes in america, but here we pay for 'got talent'. If it's free, then they can lie however they want. But we actually pay for it. We vote with sms with extra charge. If milions of people sens an 1$ sms to vote based on a false story, these people can sue to get back 1$ each. Lying with intent to get substantial financial gain is criminal offence. Just like it is a criminal offense to collect money for a charity that does not exist. You can't say 'i didn't steal it. People gave it to me on their own'. The lie makes it a scam. But if in USA agt makes money without revenue from extra charge sms for voting, you can't complain.

I'll never watch America's Got Talent the same way
@AStageForTheKingdom6 жыл бұрын
The entire show is scripted. Many of the acts are ringers that the producers found on KZbin or whatnot. Some of these people have been called in for multiple seasons. Some have been called into perform on one show (say America's Got Talent) after winning another show (say Japan's Got Talent). Some of the acts are given a backstory by the producers. The decision is made ahead of time which acts will go through, and even the judges comments may be scripted. Things like when the buzzers will be pushed are scripted. They script the audience reactions, recording the crowd multiple times and coaching them until they get the shots they want. If you watch carefully you'll see some of the same people in the crowd for multiple seasons of the show (usually a particular person who has a strong reaction, usually this person is wearing a mic or otherwise has the audio of her "reaction" recorded). I swear I've seen one particular young lady like 20 times over the years reacting in the audience. It's always quick shots, and of course she wears different outfits, hairstyles, etc, but I swear it's the same person. This makes sense of course. It's a tv show, and the producers presumably hire some "ringers" for the audience to get the reactions they want. Everything is very cleverly edited. For example, you might see a singer performing a song, and then a shot of the audience booing. However, the shot of the audience booing may have been for a completely different act on a completely different day, but the producers wanted to make it look like the singer "turned the crowd around", so they edited in the clip of the audience booing, then back to a shot of the singer hitting a big high note, then back to a completely different shot of the audience jumping to their feet clapping, then a shot of the judges going "WOW! Did you see that!?!?" But all of those camera shots were from different performances or different days or different takes, just all edited together to look like it's genuinely recorded live. The producers also decide what the performers get to perform. For example, they tell the singers what song to do (which makes the singer look dumb when the judges say "I didn't like the song choice, I don't think it was right for you"). I'm quite certain they also pre-screen and possibly even script the jokes the comedians tell. The producers know very early on who is going to "win". They craft the narrative from start to finish to fit that ending. If a little girl singer is going to win, then the producers either don't let better singers make it to the live rounds, or they give those singers terrible song choices, or they screw with their microphone settings, or they instruct the singer to act a particular way that makes them come across as unlikeable so that the audience will want them voted off. The producers generally put through just the right acts to make it tense and exciting, to create those "oh my gosh, I can't believe it!" moments when somebody makes it over somebody else, when the winner is revealed, etc. Another example: If you watch the show enough years, you'll notice the structure and the acts are all very much alike. 1 dog/animal act, 1-2 magicians, 1-3 dance crews, a few singers of various extremes (very young, very old, very flamboyant, very weird, very pop, very opera, etc), a novelty act, etc. It's generally very consistent, and the way it all unfolds tends to be pretty consistent as well. Other things you'll notice....The best people don't win, and are generally not portrayed well. For example, Donald Braswell was very good. Did he win? No. The producers scripted a whole "turning the audience around" moment to add extra emotional power to his story about losing his voice in a car accident. They conveniently danced around the fact that he was a professional singer of course. But they built up his inspiring story for a bit to add extra power and drama for when the chosen winner "beat" him. The chosen winner that year was Neal Boyd, a singer who predictably was scripted to sing "Nessun Dorma" (how many times have the producers done that now??). Donald Braswell was given "You Raise Me Up", which seems to be another favorite of the AGT producers. Yeah, you'll see a lot of the same songs over and over. Not because singers like to do overdone songs, but because the producers are scripting it. Lindsey Stirling is another interesting example. She auditioned one year, made to the televised round, and then got voted off by the judges with some extremely harsh critiques about her violin playing sounding like cats being strangled. The producers probably thought she was a good candidate for people to laugh at. Lindsey persevered and built a very successful career for herself on KZbin, and after a couple years she got an email from a blissfully unaware AGT producer or scout who said he had seen her videos and thought she would be a great candidate for their show, and would she be willing to do it? This happens more often than you think. People like Angelica Hale aren't unknowns. They're specially invited, and the producers make it look like they auditioned just like everybody else. I could go on and on. It's all fake. It's impossible to tell what is real with that show, because 90% or more of it is scripted by the producers or created by clever editing. They can easily make whoever they want look loveable, or mean, or whatever they want. They can make the audience fall in love with their chosen candidate, or make them hate a candidate they are planning to eliminate. It's not "reality tv". It's a tv show, just like any other tv show. It may be loosely based on some real people and events, but it's all a carefully written and scripted show. It has more in common with something like Gotham or NCIS or any other tv show you can think of. It's not a talent show. It's a tv show. It's fake. It's not real.

@AStageForTheKingdom6 жыл бұрын
Март Author Well, technically it's not cheating. It's their show and they can run it how they like. I don't think they've ever explicitly claimed that it was 100% real. It's sort of like Disneyland. Disneyland isn't technically real, but they do a very good job of making kids believe they are meeting the real Disney characters. However, they never explicitly say "this is the real character that you saw in the movie". If you want to buy into the illusion and believe that it's real, that's fine. But it's not. But then again, that's just life. Very, very few things in life are exactly what they seem. Famous movie producers turn out to be sexual predators, famous athletes turn out to be criminals, restaurants often have filthy kitchen and poor food handling procedures, doctors often completely miss obvious signs of illness or totally misdiagnose something, Broadway shows are just actors in costumes pretending (as opposed to the show being real), etc, etc. Anyone who believes that things are exactly what they seem to be is in for a rude awakening at some point. There are also many really good things about life, lots of love and joy and beauty and whatnot. But don't believe things at face value, because most things are not what they seem to be.

It's not fake. But its highly regulated. They wont let you get on the show if you simply have a talent. There's a ton of executive producers working behind the scenes to make the acts on the show as varied and as interesting as possible. Furthermore, the people on the show are carefully chosen from tens of thousands of applicants in order to lead to the highest ratings possible. Yes, even the people that cant sing for shit are brought in to give the illusion of variety(and because people LOVE at laughing at others misfortune -> leads to good ratings). I dont mean to come off as a smartass. But all of this is obvious. If you truly believed that anyone could come and perform, then you're naive.

"Reality" television has never been real. The producers "guide" the show in the direction they want it to go. I am a magician and I have watched these so-called magic acts on this show and I can tell when they edit. Not to mention the reactions the judges have over mediocre magic tricks that most amateur magicians can do on any given day. I have seen magic acts that use methods that have been around for ages, and to see the judges "act" like they are really impressed by these tricks that any kid with a magic set can do, tells me all I need to know about how fake this particular show really is.... pathetic!
@juancarlosmartinez63776 жыл бұрын
Russ Wright It's not about how hard the magic is. It's about how you perform it. A guy doing an ambitious card routine and laughig and being charismatic is better than a magician who performs a sleight that he has practiced for months but used a plain boring voice. The audience sees what they see and doesn't care how they did the sleight.
@russ78686 жыл бұрын
I agree. I have seen magicians do very simple tricks and impress people with them. including me. With all do respect, my point wasn't about the magic itself. I just used magic to make my point which was about how fake this particular show is and the fact that the judges "sometimes" over act and they edit the content for the sake of ratings. Hell, some of my tricks are simple to do but since you can't edit life, I at least know the reactions I get are genuine. I have seen them edit tricks on this show, not to keep you from knowing how it's done but to make them look more impressive. Why else would they edit a live show? On the show The Carbonaro effect, they have to edit to keep the secrets safe. That I get... My point being, reality T.V., is not reality.
@tinalove43246 жыл бұрын
How can you edit something that's live tho? Just a question..

Another low-class magician with no name claiming to be better than those performing magicians. If you're so good try to get into TV, maybe AGT, maybe Penn&Teller, well forget about FISM you won't even make it there. I'm no magician but I'm sick of seeing weakass magicians who failed to solve tricks by better magicians accuse those better magicians to have used CGI, video edit, and stuff. Prove yourself rather than accuse other magicians just because you failed to solve their tricks. Perhaps when you were in school everytime you failed to solve a math question you blamed your math teacher.
@russ78686 жыл бұрын
Tina Lemma. I mean it is filmed in front of a live audience and then later edited. We don't see it exactly how the audience does. I don't think they use CGI but they do edit to make a trick look better sometimes. However, there are KZbinrs that use Cg to make you think it's a trick when it is just special effects.

@jacob hansen THink about what you're saying. The votes completely do count. And there is a reason for this 1) The more people who like an act...the more support a) The more support the more future votes, and the more they watch the next weeks show.... i) The more people who watch the show...the more they can charge advertisers...the more money. 2) If they did choose the least popular or one less popular then it would end with less support. 3) The people they do choose to go on the show, are already chosen because they make a good show. We just see the judge part of it but the selection process is quite exhaustive for these type of shows and they check your background story as part of the criteria to even be on the show. They know what they want and at what proportion they want it at. It's the one thing that's not rigged (ever hear of the time american idol had a large internet group vote for the worst won and the person won. Yup

Well, there are laws against that so I doubt it.

Hi they have to pull some of the three yes people out the judges pick
@DrewLow19687 жыл бұрын
Wrong, there are laws against fraudulently producing a game show or contest show in the US. They were created in the 1950s when it was found out that one of the most popular game shows was rigged. There were congressional hearings and laws made. Look it up, just search for the $64,000 Question scandal.

How to get golden button: Have a sad backstory that makes people cry
@HateBeingBipolarItsAwesome7 жыл бұрын
This season they had an escape artist and his first escape was ridiculously cheesy with his wife screaming and crying that the trick had gone wrong (he was essentially buried alive). The judges acted freaked out and demanded that the emergency staff get him out of the wooden box. Of course he was fine. Fast-forward to his second trick on the live show where he was in a box suspended over spikes and fire, and the box got stuck. One of the judges said something of the effect of, "Did something actually go wrong this time?" Meaning that the first trick worked as intended. I get that it's a show and some dramatics are necessary, but the reactions of the wife and judges were obnoxiously bad/fake on the first trick.
@joshvoelkner52617 жыл бұрын
that was most likely a joke. The first act, whether the judges were in on it or not, it was meant to look like he failed. Then the second time they probably were joking. i cant really say because you havent linked the orginal video but magicians use this trick all the time; they seem to have failed the trick but miraculous survive and reveal that it was all part of the show

Andrea S and the escape artist Damian told in his vlog/youtube channel that he joined AGT not bcs himself but bcs he's invited by AGT crew who interested with his work at his yt channel, he's already an established illusionist/magician in Indonesia, it's not complete illusion, his work full of tricks and needs some crew to assist him, so AGT is like ask these kind of people to fill the show, that's the reason why the so so singer or lil kid or dogs win in the end bcs the talent like magician/circus/acrobatic dancer and etc are invited and they may have their own contract to play in some episodes.

Take 3 seconds to google past winners and see. Terry Fator has made millions of dollars with his act. Paul Zerdin as well. Grace Vanderwaal is quite popular on the young artists music scene. Those are just off the top of my head. Like I said, take 3 seconds to google and you will see many of the talented people on this show have been very successful.

Its is indeed totally fixed as my cousin's fiancé has been on AGT several times and has seen behind the scenes and that certain people are actually chosen to win beforehand depending on their likeness, age, and mostly by their backstory which is sooooo stupid. It's also the same for The Voice and American Idol as my cousin's fiancé is a singer and has been on all 3 of these shows and they are all fake and rigged by the producers in order for the show to get more views and publicity. (EDIT): They even give the singers that they want to win more autotune and better voice quality through the microphone than for others which is just dumb lol.

@davidkapelnikov86377 жыл бұрын
Will Tsai's was real and unedited. Just because you don't know how he did it doesn't mean he cheated. He used a special table which switches the coins when they were under the cards. He did this by pressing pedals with his right foot.

Obviously you are below average since it ISN'T fake". But that is OK. I know there are a lot of people like you whose parents didn't want in the fist place, and therefore failed miserably in raising them, so now they think the world is out to get them since they have never felt the feeling of love, accomplishment or acceptance in their lives. But maybe some day you will get an education and actually do something that makes you useful to society and understand how the people who matter live.
