that is actually the point of the MV. he (Nicklas) changed so much that the hands (could be his ego, inner voices, reasons etc.) were actually pulling his friend away and holding the glass wall. He then overcomes his ego and pushes the hands away, goes to his friend.. yet there was this wall. i think by now he doesn't see the easiest, harmless way.. he only sees his friend needing him and he wants to get to him. he doesnt see the other options cause he is really focused on saving his friend. it could also mean that his pride is somewhat still in there and the wall is the thin line from losing or saving his friendship.

This song gave me gose bumps. So for me this song speak about a friend who start taking drugs, becouse other companies and then everything changes, it isn't near anymore and almost imposible to reach up. Then you're always there to listen an take care of them when it's too bad but eventually they go back to taking drugs. And even tho you're also sufering for them you will always be there for them, un case they realice what they are doing and ask for help.
