This movie is way too REAL for a kids movie. The reality of the ending is heartbreaking, especially the part where the house reacts when he falls and the grass tries to keep the gurney from rolling away.😢 I think I only saw the movie once or twice so noticing that part for the first time.😞

I'm going to be real with most of you, I love this film but I never realized and totally blew my mind that the entire _Monster House_ film was done through performance motion capture. Because, when compared to the other ImageMovers MoCap films (e.g. Polar Express, Christmas Carol, Beowulf) which range from an uncanny realistic look, this film is more cartoonish with the characters resembling these cartoonish caricature drawings from the Amusement Parks or Boardwalks. Even I was surprised the voice of Constance (Horace Nebbercracker wife) is Kathleen Turner better known as Jessica Rabbit in _"Who Framed Roger Rabbit?”_

Turner was also in one of my favorite non-fiction movies of all time “Marley & Me” where she portrayed as the dog trainer, Ms. Kornblut.

The fact that you said, are you Jake Gyllenhaal from Nightcrawler when Zee is his sister, Maggie Gyllenhaal. I love the way this movie looks like stop-motion claymation, but it's actually the actors in mo-cap suits turned into animation.

One of my babysitters, her and her friends smoked pot, all I remember about them is they stunk. My other sitter after that, her and her friend had a tape with one song on it, the Pina Colada Song. Which they played over and over and over the whole time.

So Jason Lee (Earl from 'My name is Earl') IS voicing Bones. I only really heard him after talking about Mr. Nebbercracker. Half of the time I thought it might be Ryan Reynolds.

Lee was also in a few of Kevin Smith’s “View Askewniverse” movies. He was the main antagonist, Azrael, in the 4th movie of the series, “Dogma (1999)”, which is my number 1 favorite of the series, and he was Lance “Pickle-F$@#%r” Dowds in “Clerks II”, which is the 6th movie of the series and my 2nd favorite of the series.

I grew up loving this movie, however I remember it ABSOLUTELY terrifying me when it first came out. Watched it in like 2004-05 at my cousins when they got it on DVD and it had me up all night lmaoooo granted, I was like 5
