Honestly every relationship has their issues there's just a difference between having issues but still genuinely caring for each other and having issues where either both on one person isn't genuinely caring about the other one which is then referred to as a toxic relationship. They definitely loved and cared for each other, it was just they were such opposites which led to a lot of fiery fights. Relationships like this are hard to keep and are more likely to end in painful breakups. It's pretty rare to see them last but when they do it means they've gone through probably double the amount of difficulties that a compatible couple does, and that's what will make it one of the deepest, most beautiful and special relationships. I actually really like them together and it was refreshing to see a non standard couple, of course I would've loved to see more of a development from their relationship but to cover all of that they show would have to turn into 'jade&beck' Me and my best friend rn are also like polar opposites, we had SOO many fights at one point it was every single week throughout a whole year, it got so bad that we almost gave up on the friendship and completely cut off contact for more than half a year...but just like them after a while we kinda started missing each other and reunited. That doesn't mean from then on everything was rainbows and sparkles, we still had and have a lot of fight but the distance teached us an important lesson, which is how much we actually cared for each other, enough to put up with our differences and work through this friendship and it has since grown into a very deep and special one that I will always keep in my heart I think this relationship is realistic bug just rare and hard to believe in which is why a lot of people immediately dismiss it as toxic
