I think that’s the point. Spencer was mainly supposed to be the funny one, without trying to be funny. Sams snarky remarks immediately made her funny. Freddie was chill but he was so triggered in the first seasons which was funny asl, I do feel like he got more boring and brain dead at like season 4 (like the whole seddie arc where he started liking sam without an explanation) Gibby was supposed to be funny and he’s so many fans favorite character. And carlys the main character and pretty much was supposed to be chill
