We make our belts like we make our boots, in the USA from the thickest materials available.
While most boots are meant to be thrown away after a few months, Nicks are built to last. When your boots start to need some servicing, you can send them in to have them resoled or completely rebuilt! Nicks Handmade Boots are serviceable and last years longer than a mass-produced boot. Since 1964, Nicks has been making the highest quality boots on the market, right here in Spokane Washington. If you're tired of your old work boots wearing out, upgrade to Nicks and enjoy the most comfortable boots on the market.

These are serious belts. My belt is as thick as my iPhone, if not thicker.

Surprised how much work at that factory is actually manual and not an automated machine. Quality built.

Just received one of Nicks regular belts. It’s as thick as horse tackle and could survive a nuclear blast.

JMHO, the price should be about 25% less. Also, leather belts without stitching will stretch and warp rather quickly. The leather used looks awesome.

Cheap leather maybe. It will be a long time before this thick leather will warp or stretch.

I love Nicks boots, but this doesn’t beat a Saddleback Leather tow belt. Three layers of full grain leather stitched together with marine grade polyester thread, buckle rated to hold 1000 lbs, and come with a 100 year warranty for $99. Main difference is probably manufactured in USA Vs Old Mexico, so there is that and I respect that. If I didn’t already have two belts that will outlast my kids, I might get one of these.

"Three layers of full grain leather" doesn't mean much. If each layer is 1mm thick, that's not super impressive.
@andrewh6337
@andrewh6337 2 жыл бұрын
@@Casparify that would be true if the case! I have to assume you’re not familiar with Saddleback based on that comment, they pride themselves on using only premium materials. The Tow belt is about 6mm thick, chrome tanned on the outside for the beautiful look, veg tanned on the inside for the slick movement over your clothes to whip it off quickly, and another layer in between to raise the middle and add even more strength. It’s a helluva belt and I think qualifies as “super impressive”. Not a common topic that comes up, but on the few occasions I’ve taken it off for friends to check out, the most common thing I hear is along the lines of, “Damn! That’s a belt!”

@@andrewh6337 The Nicks Work Belt has a similar thickness, just under 1/4 inch or roughly 6mm. Also, the work belt is made from only a single layer of leather, instead of being sewn together from multiple layers of thinner leather.

@@thesharpercoder the Nicks belt is 12-14 oz, or 12/64-14/64” thick, meaning it is 4.7-5.5mm thick. Im not saying they’re bad belts. They’re great belts, but there are trade offs. Single layer belts are cheaper to make as far as labor costs, but use more expensive leather because thick leather isnt cheap. But then you have the flesh of the leather rubbing against your cloths, so there is an aesthetic trade off, some wear in clothing (minimal), the coarse look of unfinished edges, and they lack the ease of sliding on and off quickly and smoothly. I prefer the smoother wear and use of a good multi layer belt. Also, keep in mind I measured mine after five or six years if wear and its still 6mm thick. The grain is also the strongest part of the leather, I’m thinking, and I could be wrong, but Im thinking three full grains will be stronger and more durable than a single grain and a lot of flesh behind it. To each his own.

@@NotsoPHYSale I started to say that, but then decided it depends somewhat upon how old you are when you get the belt. However, I agree, mostly likely a lifetime. :-)

Put on a pair of socks , With a pencil completely straight up and down Trace your foot on a sheet of paper then with a tape measure around the top and ball of each right and left foot , Send these measurements to get a custom fit

@@sammarkey672 , you can get a professional foot measurement at Walmart for like $15 bucks or even go to a shoe store and get one on each foot , Write down these measurements and send them to get proper fitment , I didn't realize that everyone can't read a tape measure , There is inches involved with fractions of inches involved and for someone that doesn't know how to read a tape measure that would be difficult , So if I was you Sam , I would go to a local shoe store and have each foot measured , then have them write the measurements of each foot and then send these measurements to get proper fitment , I would might even have a mold of each foot made out of a plaster cast like they make face mask in movies , This would probably be expensive but it would be an exact same thing as your real foot , My left foot is slightly wider than my right foot , So when I go to buy boots, I always try on the left boot to make sure it will fit , If the left boot fits , I buy them Hope this was helpful Sam

@@jimthomas777 I know how to use a tape measure smart ass. But if I go to a shop and they do all the measurements the liabilities are all on them. If I do the measurements and am not happy then they can, and will, put the blame squarely in my lap.
