Looks like some Copper Anti-Seize Compound. Where did you get the blueish bit driver?

Nice job.. 👍👍👍👍👍

The copper stuff looks like loctite C5A. Glock uses it as a factory break-in lubricant... so your knife should cycle 9mm just fine now.

Looks like the cooper grease found on a new Glock

I can't help but be curious as to which company didn't take nicely to a negative review.

I really do like when company's like CRKT have good designs but the materials and build quality is not that good, that they also make a higher end model, for people who like the design enough they are wiling to pay more for a higher quality knife overall

Hopefully the price on this one is okay. They've often overcharged for "premium" versions of low-quality knives, like the titanium versions of the M16 series.

CRKT's website lists it at $275 which means it will probably sell in the low $200 range if it makes it to online retailers. If really you want one you should pick it up soon because there are only 500 being made according to their website.

@Wheeler Dealer I can't say for sure. That depends heavily on how much you like the design. Honestly at the $250 dollar price range, I generally look for something higher end than a CRKT. Not that they can't make a good product, but as ohai mentioned, this is just a $60-70 knife with nicer materials.

I've seen that rough surface in the lockbar cutout on a LionSteel TRE. That and the floppy action kind of put me off from an otherwise beautiful knife.

It must be some kind of new industry lube because that copper / gold lube I found in my lionsteel roundhead. Thought it was rust at first but the consistency didn’t match. Very odd.

Did they lubricate it with rust?

Maybe Lion Steel is stretching themselves too thin

"copper-ee stuff"...any chance it's rust?

It looks like it's similar to copper anti-seize. Costs like 3$ a tube at your local auto-parts store and it's a decent lubricant.
