Thanks to everyone who patiently waited for Part 2 during these past 4.5 months! This project went from being two videos to three videos as I planned this one out, so I apologize to anyone who expected me to cover the final seasons and the live action stuff here. I realized that I would not be doing these seasons justice if I tried to cram everything else into one video and I don't have the time and energy to plan and execute a two or three hour long project this summer. I hope you stay tuned for Part 3, "The Final Ending" of this miniseries, unless they announce Fairly Odder Season 2 out of nowhere. IT COULD STILL HAPPEN!!! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this video! I tried to offer more of my personal experience with the series while diving deeper into its most notable episodes. I can't give enough thanks to all the editors, artists, and animators that helped me bring this monster of a video together. I can guarantee that there will be some smaller videos before I find out what the dog doin', but I already know what the next big series on this channel will be... #knowingsmile

I had to say, Shadow Showdown got a strange amount of effort for being a licensed kids game? They tried to emulate the show's style to the point of creating a system where the texture flips around on the character's faces to "stay on model". That mansion level got some cool ideas, such as the whole level flipping outside down and being explorable that way. Ultimately, it's still a 6 out of 10 experience but I appreciate that they do seem to care about working on these games. It's something that I miss from the early 2000s era

Many shows decline because the people who created them leave, SpongeBob lost much of its quality when Stephen Hillenburg left, but when they hired him again in Season 9, the show improved a lot and became good again. Fairly OddParents declined with Butch Hartman working on all seasons, leading to accusations that he was never the reason the show was good, and giving him more freedom is what made it decline.
@manofwisdom0002 жыл бұрын
Don’t forget Danny Phantom with its third season, when Steve Marmel and most of the other original writers either left the show or were fired by Nickelodeon. In the first two seasons, Butch Hartman wasn’t much involved with the show until Season 3.
@renejustinnillo30872 жыл бұрын
@@manofwisdom000 Oh yeah, that one! Although I never watched the entirety of Danny Phantom, that season of the show was when Hartman’s writing talent started to take a nosedive in quality, with the exception of Season 6 of Fairly OddParents and even the entirety of TUFF Puppy. Though to be honest, Steve Marmel planned to take Danny Phantom to a much bolder and darker direction in its third season onward, and when we heard of that rumor, we were pissed off at the final product of Season 3 of that show. If Danny Phantom would ever come back for either a continuation or a revival, I think rehiring Steve Marmel to do his own version of Danny Phantom without Butch Hartman being on his side would be Nick’s best bet.

@cosmok-13672 жыл бұрын
@@renejustinnillo3087 You can tell when the original writers leave a show and are replaced by the quality and continuity of the program. Like Spongebob for example, in the earlier seasons, Patrick and SpongeBob may have been idiotic, but they were very close friends and any argument they have is for comedic purposes. They weren't the brightest, but their actions of stupidity were usually harmless or they tried to correct it. But in later seasons, after Hillenburg left, Patrick became much more toxic and too idiotic for his own safety. He deliberately ruins the people around him. At least in the earlier seasons, he would have some good ideas and have points of morals, but that is all lost later on. Or, if we are still talking about Danny Phantom, they pretty much made the ghost zone a red herring. In earlier seasons, they make it apparent that these ghosts were once people who actually died. I mean they don't say it out right, cause it's a kid's show, but they do imply it. That cheese ghost when we meet Vlad in that one episode, Spike the puppy, Amber the ghost singer, yeah, at one point they were all alive and their spirits couldn't rest. I thought it was pretty interesting that death exists in this universe. But then, season three and four come in and they decided to do a parody of Men in Black. Where you have these suited guys from a government come in and they state that the ghost zone is a different dimension and the ghosts are extra terrestrials? Like... what?! This whole time you lead us to believe these ghosts were once people that lived on earth, now you're spit-balling the concept that they are just aliens?! They don't even hint at this or out right explain it, it just... happens. It isn't just the men in black parody that made me lose interest in the show. They were giving Danny all of these upgraded powers like ghost yelling, freezer lasers, which I am not against, I like they were upgrading him. But, they come out of nowhere and it feels odd that Danny gets these upgrades but not the other enemies which makes the battles more one sided. And the fact that they miss out on deals to make good special content for the show. Like in Season three, 'Urban Jungle'. It was so badass with this cool ghost villain, a dark premise, and helped Danny unlock a new power. The problem is, that 'special', was just another 24 minute episode when it could have been an hour long special or even a movie. Everything happened so fast, it felt sloppy and poorly written, which is ashamed because it had a lot of potential to be a good specials, but it's just another episode in the series. In my personal opinion, I don't think a show will last very long once the original creators of that content leave or are fired. At that point, you are better off just to cancel that show. I would rather have a show be cancelled while still being memorably good, than have it run it's course, but still keep at it only to give us garbage compared to the comedy gold we had before.

There's actually a NSFW comic called Camp Sherwood which is primarily a sequel to The Boy Who Would Be Queen but is also a crossover of almost every 2000s cartoon you can think of. If you can make it through the smutty stuff, not only does it explore Veronica in ways the show should've, but as it goes on, there's a horror inspired concept that creates its own lore. While the author Mister D has these out of nowhere long hiatuses between issues, I would highly recommend it. There's a comment I made in the first part of the retrospective about how I would've loved it if Veronica stood up to Trixie, left the "friend" group and grew closer to Timmy, becoming his endgame love interest instead of Tootie. The Fairly Oddparents had one of the saddest downfalls ever and before Star vs and Steven Universe and partially Regular Show was the first whiff I got of what seasonal rot does to a show. It's so sad that the show ended up hyping its mediocre episodes as these epic specials later down the line because Spongebob did that when it started circling the Super Toilet too.

I grew up with The later years of fairly odd parents and I have to say I actually didn’t think the show started getting bad until season 10. I actually didn’t mind Sparky but Chloe on the other hand. In my opinion Chloe is 100% what killed the show. I’m not nostalgia blind. I know in the later years the show definitely was not the best and the only reason I probably liked it was because I was a kid and had low standards but either way Chloe was the final nail in the coffin for the show and now there is a horrible reboot no one likes. And what makes it so much worse is that there isn’t even a series finale. After 10 seasons and being one of the most popular nickelodeon shows of all time show doesn’t even get a proper series finale. I think meet the odd parents should’ve been the series finale. That would’ve been the perfect place to end the show

Since I was still super obsessed with FOP back in the day (kinda helped that the network that aired the show in my region kept repeating the first 5 seasons all the time), I caught up with all of S6 and 7 when they first debuted. And while I might have subconsciously noticed that something felt "off" about them in some capacity (aside from regional dub changes like Cosmo's VA getting replaced), I pretty much enjoyed them at the time. Though I haven't rewatched them in years... just like the classic seasons. Oh well. Don't think I got to finish S8 though, only remember seeing a handful of those specials, and it stems from our home losing cable TV for a while and me transitioning from watching content on YT more often than TV. And I never bothered with the Live action specials since I knew they were gonna be bad since day 1. Kinda fitting and relieving that I left the show behind right as its (apparent, since I didn't watch the last 2 seasons) darkest final years were approaching.

I grew up in New Jersey! (As a kid Crocker's references to real towns I knew made me SO excited so thanks whoever wrote those lines specifically for kids in New Jersey lmao) I think we have good chinese food places since we're a pretty diverse state culturally wise, so plenty of people open restaurants serving their countries' food. However there also some places that are just really white, and I THINK Hackensack is one of those. Thus less chances to have Chinese food from a small shop with their kids running around and their carryout boxes being recycled cardboard boxes. (shops like that either poison you or are THE BEST FOOD EVER.) There's just chains like panda express ect. But to be honest with google I see it has a few highly recommended places now, but maybe it was different then. OR maybe it was sarcastic. Hope this helps!!! :3c
