Come for a walk while I talk about the inaccuracies in military movies and running something unexpected.

To add some perspective about the percentage amount of Infantry MOSs to Non-Infanry MOSs. I was in an Infantry Battalion and the barracks for Headquarters and Support company was the same size as the barracks that all 4 infantry companies shared.

I was commo. We liked to say “You can talk about us, but you can’t talk without us!”

Hey brother you're a huge inspiration. As a new young adult enlisting (in the AF) I kind of worry that I'll lose who I am now. Seeing an exemplary enlisted man who's well-articulated, contemplative, lively, personable, and still has a deep and rich inner life and life outside his work and stuff is a big comfort to me. I have other aspirations besides my military goals and I've been sorta worried I'll lose myself and all of that will fall away once I'm in. Idk things are crazy for me rn. Thanks for being a good example for nervous guys like me Nick! Stay cool man.

The only thing to break in a war movie is the radio strapped to some guys back, always takes a bullet, and nobody ever goes to the toilet either. Platoon is my favourite war movie

Pretty little lake/pond! I had no idea it took that long and that much effort for medals etc. I looked up Dakota Meyer because you mentioned him. He was the first living Marine to receive his Medal of Honour in 38 years! Whoa!🥇 That’s a pretty rare Hemlock tree ya found there! 😂 14:01 Made me laugh 😆

Some of my favourite military films are a few good men and we were soldiers.

The one cinematic sin I notice a lot is saluting indoors without a cover on. 🙄🙄

Happy Sunday, Nick! Speaking of movies, I would love to hear your thoughts on 'Dunkirk'. Does Farrier get any points for not sending Jeeves? Come to think of it, what kind of butlers do the Royal Air Force have?

I thought you joined the Marines to patrol the streets of heaven 😂😂 That was the first bit of yours I watched. I’ve always been interested in and respect the Marines for honoring tradition and mistrust almost anything that comes out of the Navy PIO because time after time it’s just proven to be BS… from the Indianapolis to the Iowa (including Tailhook) and that’s just the big things. I’m open to be proven wrong. Really interesting commentary, thank you.

Sure. We've known about the use of video games as a kind of recruitment tool for a while. I remember reading a book from the 1980s which was one of the first to point it out. But ... I would consider this soft propaganda. There are organized propaganda operations in the world that are FAR more manipulative and deceptive - to the point where you could really consider them a kind of mass psy-ops operation. Soviet Russia was one of the pioneers of this. This new far right Russia still leads the charge. I wonder how many people are aware that the USSR did a mass disinformation campaign in the late 60s through the 80s to promote Palestinian nationalism in the West - it was antisemitic and aimed at Western liberals. It was one of their most successful operations ever.
