We grew up with MCs that chatted loads and they would really hype up the crowd as the djs usually mixed on two turntables and there wasn't a great deal of double drops etc. Now the dj can mix 4 tunes at once and you kinda want to hear that, so the Tonn pipers of this world work as just don't say anything ever so you can hear the music. Does that make sense?
