Finally, Nico is getting recognition, about what a great artist she was. I think this might be the band that she went on tour with round Europe before the wall came down. Great band. James Young, who was her keyboard player, wrote an amazing book about being on that tour with Nico. It's called 'Songs they never play on the radio.' You will not be able to put it down.

That is so condescending! When I was a heroin addict people used to say the same thing about me. Addiction is a medical issue. The only thing for heroin is methadone which is more unhealthy on the body than heroin. It took me years to make progress and get into recovery.

victor morgado In 1982, Lou Reed had to work at staying clean and sober. Associating with an ex who still used would have endangered his sobriety. If Nico had lived, and cleaned up, I imagine they would have worked together in some way.

Ahhhh, it's so funny you're trying to educate/correct Nico about a song from the album she was literally a part of. She was also a heroin addict along with Lou Reed, so I think she is very well aware of the lyrics and what they mean. Also... Waiting for MY man is a personal touch, when you're a heroin addict you usually have one main dealer and even if you don't, in that moment, they are YOUR man because they've got something you really want and need. So please don't actually try to correct the woman who worked with VU and lived that lifestyle. Nicosplaining lol 😅

One of her key board players wrote a book his experience touring with her. I have to buy it. In the film interview he seemed to have mixed feelings of respect, anger and confusion about her.
