Nico Aaldering started the company in 1975, fuelled by his love for classic cars and his son Nick shares this passion. Together they lead and develop the company on a daily basis.

Zo'n Wiesmann is echt een fantastische auto! Als onbeschaamd auto nerd wil ik een aantal weetjes toevoegen: 1. Met het gekko logo hebben ze juridisch gezeik gehad met Audi die de gekko voor Quattro claimde te gebruiken, 2. De fabriek van Wiesmann had de vorm van een gekko, 3. De gebroeders Wiesmann hebben hun droom om een auto te bouwen kunnen financieren door het produceren van Hardtops voor cabrio's.
