Nico Rosberg ! One of the best drivers of the last 10 years. A driver who can take a real fight to Hamilton and Vettel. The fun thing is that he is saying the real fear the top are feeling about Max.But they can not show it.

I remember the backlash and outright hate Nico got after his decision to retire as a worldchampion. People called him a coward, a lucky champion and many other things. People who said that, have no clue about how much pressure Nico felt here. How much pressure had been building up for years to that moment in that final race. He knew that this was his final real chance of winning the championship. He knew that Lewis was the better in terms of sheer talent and speed. But with hard work, and extracting everything from himself he managed to beat Lewis. Everything,all the stress,the fights, the uphill battle with a hugely talented "enemy, the battle within the team,the pressure from media and fans...everything came togheter in that one race....take it all or fuck it up in a split second. People have no clue what that takes on a human...and i Respect Nico for his decision to retire and not put himself through that again. And everybody should do so.. Just my 2 cents..

At the time Max was well known for crashing into other drivers which is what I think Nico was actually referring to.

@@garythefishable I personally believe that Rosberg had this reaction since all on track battles he had with max were very tough for him even though being in a faster car, that must have messed with his mind. Max drove around the outside of him in Silverstone and Rosberg needed a lot of attempts to be able to pass him once it became dry. In Canada after many attempts Rosberg failed to pass max and spun. In Brazil Max overtook him around the outside in the wet again. At that time Max was known for being very aggressive and driving on the edge, for example the late defensive moves under braking. The crashing a lot with other drivers was more of a thing the following years.

The moving underbraking was ridiculous and if it had not been for other drivers pulling out we could have seen some horrific crashes. The Brazil overtake was amazing though I'll give him that but I'm not sure Rosberg would have paid him the complement.

Couldn't disagree more. Good driver but massively overrated. He crashes a lot. More than Hamilton ever has and he's only 23 LOL. His car is literally built around him and everything at Red Bull is catered to him hence why the 2nd drivers are always much worse, they are forced work with a car which they won't be comfortable with. Hamilton is definitely more talented and there's an argument that Leclerc and Russell are as well. Let's see who ends up with the most titles.

It's poorly phrased, but at the time it would not have been confusing. It's Dutch media, so Max, Max, Max - otherwise it was not important for the event. And at the time, it would have been obvious that "after winning the world championship!" could only have referred to Nico. The real headline should have been "Lewis tries everything to screw Nico in season finale but Nico still takes title!" or something like that. Max was a footnote then.
