Theory(ies): Nextbots are what their names describe them as. They're probably the "future of robots" as what Nico Corp. would say. They were probably used in the mall to help those in need and do the work humans were too lazy to do. Soon, the Nextbots went rogue, and with only the internet connected to their minds, they scoured it. They tried to figure out what they could do to get people to like them, and that's when they saw pngs of scary yet funny images, and had an idea to attract people. They cast big pngs of those images and broadcasted loud music to make people investigate. People probably didn't like it, and they ran from them. So they searched more into the backstory of the images, and found that "if they were sent to you, they'd kill you!" And that brings us here, Nextbots killing people because of rogue and misinterpreted png legends.

Theory: Nico Cooperation is a lab where they have a goal to make 2D images become actual sentient beings. In order to not let their project be in interfered, they created a mall as a distraction. Unfortunately during the project their experiments are deemed unsuccessful, creating monstrous, Immortal, 2-D entities, one of them escaped and killed every one in the lab, what’s worse it that they entered the mall and killed upon his hundreds of people which then lead to an immediate lockdown and the mall was in ruin. Here’s My Theory: There was a Laboratory that accidentally created a Nextbot and decided to Test it but it quickly became Hostile and killed the Scientists, The Nextbot escape by going through the Sewer and it decided to travel though Nicos Mall and lives their as a home, Then the Nextbot clones it self into different PNGs and Sounds, making them a swarm and then they attacked all the people and the Employees in at the Mall, This means that You and Other Players who play nicos Nextbot are the Survivors being trapped in a Mall and trying to find a escape, The New Nextbots being added are Nextbots cloning themselves, Some of the Nextbots manage to make Portal in the elevator that lead to the Backrooms, The Saferooms were the made by the Survivors, If Gm_Russia was released in the game, this means that the Survivors manage to escape the Mall, But then released that there was no people in the Town, Because the Nextbots manage to get outside and make other clones, This means that a Nextbot Apocalypse is happening in this world.

(MY) Lore: In 1983 Nico’s corporation opened a Mall that are connected to Russia, because Russia has much more supplies than supplies in Alaska (Where the mall Opened), so NicoPatty, the Founder of Nico’s Corp. has a great idea to connect the mall to Russia, moments later they got send a Mysterious package which makes this mall Haunted, The Forbidden Cube. It spawned really Scary PNGs and the Employees were all dead and also the People at that mall, then More people (It’s Us) started to come into the mall to investigate this Strange event that is currently happening, and all they do is they have to survive, and realized that the PNGs were scared of small Places so they turned the small resting Rooms to a Safe zone, the PNGs we’re spreaded throughout Alaska and even Russia, the Source itself. I think thats how “Nico’s Nexbots” Begin 💁‍♂️
