i feel like a definition of "block" might've been helpful, since i noticed you were avoiding music note platforms, mushroom platforms, and crates, despite them not really being blocks. Also in 2-3, the yellow platform in front of the paragoomba is actually 2 question mark blocks (but you can clearly make the jump without touching those so it's not a big deal, just thought I should point it out). Otherwise great job! love the game and your challenges are always so fun to watch

I hate to be that person but at 2:09 on World 2-3, you touched two double length blocks when you jumped to that platform. Just thought I'd let you know Nico. That way if you ever do a follow up video where you try to complete the special worlds without touching blocks, you can let us know if it's possible to get round them. Other than that it was a really interesting and enjoyable video Nico. I look forward to the next challenge. 👍

Awesome! That I love your videos, and I started chuckling through my nose a little when you talked about the donut 'platforms' and then after a few seconds, I started chuckling out loud a bit more. Just like 2 other times, once when DarkX died when hitting this yellow block (oh yeah, right, what a coincedence lol) and jumped to where the powerup would be but ended up jumping into a big spikey meatball, and also when in a BTG video of this Sonic Rom Hack where there are 4 characters, Darby was all 4 tails and his main one made a monitor fall, and it then crushed another Tails. Yeah, hope to see Super Mario World with this challenge, and also Mario games where you can't touch a box. 📦

I feel like hitting the propeller box block nullifies the runs validity. Heres why, while yes MARIO can't touch a block. In the coinless videos if your boomerang or any power up collects them its still a coin. Argument could be made that Mario's power ups are an extension of him. Now, is there likely another way? That Idk.

Technically, that’s because you are still collecting them. Instead of it being simply ‘don’t touch coins’ (whilst still grey and I’d say invalid). This run is ‘don’t touch them’ (physically as Mario). Ultimately I agree though, but fun to see the rest of the run anyways.

There is no tanooki suit in super mario land unless you mean super mario 3D land then there is but the tanooki suit is an optional power up and you dont need it to beat the game so it would just be normal platforming without the floating ability
