Education has taken a huge hit under them. Never did get our class sizes under 30. Instead they’ve had to seriously invest in an online schooling scheme-bc all the experienced teachers are leaving due to stress, paperwork, bad behaviours in school etc. SQA on about using hobbies, voluntary work and alternatives to count towards grades in school, schools getting rid of study periods and making kids provide Peer support in classes instead of paying for teaching support assistants. Some schools started stopping parents reading books at home with kids for homework-instead, the teacher reads it to them in class together! Before an assistant or the teacher would have the child read to them and the parent reinforce it. Now the one on one stuff is being removed. Everything is centralised and under pressure and not meeting needs, just caring about an arbitrary target (that they still never meet).

The SNP under either Salmond or Sturgeon never convincingly persuaded Scottish people to want independence. It was only ever a bit of a novelty, then the Scots saw how a devolved SNP government trashed all the essential services on which all citizens depend. The 'once in a generation' final referendum rejected it, every poll since shows support ebbing away and the much vaunted 2024 GE as "a de facto referendum vote" shows that, when the Scots wiped out 4/5ths of the SNP Westminster seats, the SNP lunatic ideological proposal has now been consigned to a footnote in the history books
