Nicolai Bergmann (born June 12, 1976) is a Tokyo-based Danish flower artist and designer best known for his flower boxes, a technique that started a trend in Japan. if the new headquarters of Aoyama Flower Market is the Most Beautiful flower shop in Japan then Nicolai Bergmann's is second Most Beautiful!! it is a bit smaller but then features an expensive luxurious Café on site! I wonder if the flower boxes can dry up nicely into a souvenir without letting the flowers grow moldy in the boxes.

@echawaii They sell two different types of products: the professionally dried ones that will look perfect and keep the vivid color and perfect shape of the petals for many years to come. And then the wet version there's a large sponge in the box that the flowers are stabbing and staying fixed in and you're supposed to re-add a bit of water, these will change the color as they age and will look shriveled and rusty more like dry flowers than like beautiful preserved ones and possibly smell after a while unless you manage to get the sponge dried out fast. In that sense you better just buy from them the preserved version and skip worries and it is probably not as heavy to carry back home on a plane as the one with the wet compact sponge in it .
