Hi Sara Fig Tea is stunning and inthe heat is beautiful and it lasts a long time for a edt ! Going to buy a full bottle for sure ! Violette in love I never tryed yet . Patricia Nicolai is a brilliant parfumeur and Guerlain family related. Great video 😄

The only bottle of Parfums de Nicolai I currently have is New York Intense. I'm a dude and am really into Fougères. In my Fragrantica review of it I wrote "New York Intense in structure reminds me of MDCI Chypre Palatin in some ways. They are very different fragrances, but Chypre Palatin is a complex amber scent with chypre touches, whereas New York Intense is a complex Fougere-like fragrance with Chypre touches. Both have mild but noticeable animalic touches." Don't forget the lavender in this. It's the driver of Fougeres. NYI is similar to the super-smooth Creed Bois du Portugal. The well done animalics in NYI is a big difference. NYI is fantastic. I also have a decant of Fig-Tea because I have a collection of fig-oriented fragrances. Interestingly it doesn't have a listed fig note. I need to wear it again because I don't remember the scent, so that means it didn't blow me away. It'll be my Scent of the Day today.

Thanks for reviewing this, I've been looking for more information about Nicolai fragrances for a while now. Your mascara looks lovely too!

Definitely agree that neroli can be one of those notes that dominate the opening of a fragrance. Slightly prefer Neroli Intense over Cap Neroli but both are great. Appreciate the video Sarah! 🧡

Another lovely house overview xxx i had Fig Tea, and it's beautiful but ended up selling it because it kept turning too lemony on my skin, and I just don't do lemon scented things! Ha ha but it's a beautifully refreshing fragrance. My faves are Angelys Pear (a chypre style dry Pear, lovely and crisp for spring) and Violet in Love (soft slightly sweet violet with a coriander dry down) Very pleasant and simple xxx

I definitely have to give Fig Tea a full wear test. If it goes to lemony on me I won’t bother as when that happens it ends up smelling like furniture polish. 😂

I'm glad I tested Fig Tea. Smells really milky and yes, peach dominant to my nose. It quickly ripens and sweetens to the point that I can't tolerate it. I think I could only wear this scent on a cold day!

Thank you for reviewing this kit! That does seem like a fair price for so many samples. I just remembered I have a sample of Fig Tea somewhere, so I'm looking forward to trying it out now that it's spring :-)

Angelys pear is a beautiful photorealistic pear soaking in lightly sweetened sparkling water, like an expensive jar of gourmet angelys pears.

I just got a bottle of Fig Tea and I love it. I prefer lighter fragrances since I live in a warm climate and this is perfect.

Hi Sarah, I own Angelys Pear by Nicolai, and I think you should try it.. beautiful, sophisticated pear. Apart from Fig Tea and Amber Cashmere intense, on my wish list I also have Weekend in Provence, which I sampled and fell in love with.

That sounds amazing. I don't think they have that one on Lucky Scent here in the States so I will have to track down a sample of it.

Interesting, I haven’t heard of this brand, thank you for sharing!! Have you ever heard of maison Louise Marie? They’re carried at Sephora now. It’s my new obsession. It’s in the clean beauty at Sephora section. And even still they last an incredible amount of time. I love the #4, #9 and #12 (my new favorite) Hope you have a good Sunday

Hi there! I have seen that house on Sephora and they look really nice. I will have to see if they have a discovery set. I think I remember seeing one.

I’m not sure if you have a PO Box in the description of any video but I’d be happy to send you decants of the 3 I have... I’ve never decanted before but for you I’d do it Sarah:) You’re the best. Thanks for all you do

I thought all neroli fragrances smelled the same until I smelled Tomboy Neroli (from Parle Moi de Parfum). Highly recommend smelling it if you haven’t yet! I’ve been waiting to get a sample of Fig Tea, but now I’m definitely going to get one with my next Lucky Scent purchase as I’ve been on such a journey to find a true Osmanthus perfume 🥰🥳
@SarahMayes3 жыл бұрын
I will definitely check it out! Fig-tea is such a stunning Osmanthus perfume. I need to give it a full wear test to see if the Osmanthus hangs around as it usually fades into the background while other notes take over. I have been searching for a true Osmanthus perfume for ages too.

Patricia de Nicloai is a very skilled perfumer. She really knows what she is doing. Yet, I can never tell if her perfumes are for men or women. It seems she does mainly unisex fragrances. New York Intense is a good scent, but, for me, it leans a little too feminine. I notice you think it leans a little more masculine. Interesting.
@SarahMayes7 ай бұрын
I totally agree that most of her scents are very unisex.

The way you describe Cuir Cuba Intense is how I interpret MAC Velvet Teddy. I wonder if you think they smell similar? Like the anise and bitter tobacco.

Hi Chrissy! I didn’t get Velvet Teddy vibes but i would say they are the same types of fragrances. 🥰
