Simply breathtaking. Again, I am stunned... into profound silence.

Dear Nicolas, I just uploaded No. 6 from Schumann's Kreisleriana. I listened to it for the first time and up came your exquisite Schumann Arabesque, I believe this is the finest recording of it that I have heard including my own performance. Loud bravos to you. Seymour

+Seymour Bernstein Thank you! Unfortunately, Nicolas Economou isn't anymore among us to answer you. In December 1993 Economou was killed in an automobile accident in Cyprus while driving at night in thick fog. Anyway, his fantastic piano recordings will always remain. Thank you for helping us sharing them here on KZbin.

Dear Nicolas; Beautiful, simple beautiful. I've been working on the piece for forty years and you didn't loose track of the volume for the left hand, in fact, you brought it out when called for. The tempo was perfect and the breaks between the various section was extraordinary! The closing phrase... definitive! In short, I never heard a better interpretation. Bravo. Sent with great admiration. CVD

+Charles Davis Totally aggree! Havent heard another rendition yet thats so fluent, so gentle, so sophisticated. Characteristics in a way I've just heard yet from the great Gilels. Sadly this devine rendition has so few clicks! I also found him accidently when I saw him playing with Friedrich Gulda and Chick Corea. Hope you have heard his Kreisleriana too. If not. Listen!!

I agree, the legendary Gilels is the only one who comes close to Nicholas, what a tragedy he died so young, he would be the reference point for all other pianists today had he lived.

Agree .in the LH, at around 1.58 and 2.02 he brings out the left hand notes more than most do
