We entered a deserted side street when, suddenly, around 400/500 Chelsea came marching from a side road. I told my M8 to follow me. I took a chance and joined them, wearing a suitable facial expression and we marched for 1/4 mile up the road singing Chelsea songs when at a Bridge,they all went right and we went left. lol. Also bumped into 400 Chelsea on the Easter school holidays in 1969 at Boxhill when they were chasing some skinheads.We ran along the railway and it turned out,they did not bother to leave the train station but we weren't to know that as we just looked and ran ahead. The New Den since 1993 is silent compared with The OLD Den,my friend...

If anyone had to stop Tottenham's unbeaten run, the honour rightfully was handed to us, but we have to tighten up on defending at the back. Nevertheless I'm not going to complain, this was the response needed after losing the West London derby the previous weekend at home to Brentford. This fixture is not just North London v SW London, this fixture is where blood will be spilt and where the rivalry and pride takes centre stage. We should have won this further if 4 of the 7 or 8 goals we did score were not chalked off for offisde and handball, nevertheless we deserved this and I hope we can use this as motivation to start winning again.

So happy to get 3 points during a difficult period for us, but let’s be humble. The way we are celebrating is a bit embarrassing. We would rinse Spurs fans for doing that against us!! “It’s happened again”? They’re a point off top and 11 points clear of us after only 11 games. Saying we still run London when we haven’t been above Arsenal, Spurs or even Brentford for over a year now? What, because we have a more European Cups in the cabinet? That’s a bit like saying United still run Manchester right now 🤔 We had 11v9 for almost the whole second half and didn’t know what to do. Clueless long balls to their keeper. Slow build up play suited them. Should have been passing quickly and run them into the ground. We missed so many 1v1’s. So lucky not to concede an equaliser with Dier. Inexperience and lack of discipline with Colwill trying to even out the red cards. Gusto needless fouls in dangerous positions at the end. I’m grateful for the 3 points. We all expected defeat. But stay humble!!! Celebrate of course: we’ve been through a lot lately, but keep a level head. We are still mid table!
