I may have overlooked it, but it did not appear that Alan carries a knife (not even a pocket knife) with his EDC. Did he discuss his mindset behind that choice?

Ok. I just thought it would have been odd for him not to have at least a small cutting tool unless he was constantly flying or traveling to Philadelphia where no cutting tools are allowed at all except if you are working at your job.

I have a high degree of respect for both Nicole and Alan. I also liked the knives that both of them carried while on the Alone TV show. Both of them carried a large knife. If a person only has one knife, it should be a large one. Alan used the Condor heavy kukri. Nichole used a custom recurve knife. A second, smaller, knife is the next step.

HEY!! I would test those fresnel cards. That is not going to work. The reason is that a fresnel lens is basically a ton of refractive ridges in a rectangle shapes. Each ridge bends the sunlight that hits it and shoots it towards the focal point, where you can make fire. All the ridges are angled in such a way that the light goes towards a center point. If you cut a big card up, you aren't going to get the same effect.

I could tell something was wrong!..Even when he won and she walked up, I could tell she was acting like she was happy to see him and she isn't a very good actor...lol
