I remember seeing Crazy Rich Asians, I do love rom coms for one, but I finally got to see myself on screen, a North American Asian as the protagonist, not the side kick, not a kung fu master asexual human but an actual person after decades of not being represented, it felt amazing, like we are actual people worth having on big screens and shocker, and that was a box office hit regardless of ethnicity anyway.
