I soooooo wish her albums were released in America! "Big Fat Lie" is one of my favorite songs of this decade. I wish she made it the second US single instead of "Bang" but at least we got "Run." Love you, Nicole! I hope you come back home with the next album!

SoulMan I thought it was you. When you mentioned "Casualty", I was like..."I think that's him." I don't think she wants that stuff released though. She's the one who scrapped most of it. I'll probably listen to them at some point. As for the way she sings on her albums, I actually don't mind it. Like, one of my biggest complaints in music is unnecessary autotune, when it's not used to creative effect. But with Nicole, I actually don't mind it. Because I know she doesn't need it. She's literally the only modern singer I can honestly say sounds better live than in studio. I equate her voice to a modern day Chaka Khan. Similar belting tone, technique and massively underrated vocalists. But Nicole is actually more versatile than Chaka. "Right There" is obviously not her best. I love it, but it's not her best. However, by the laws of exposure, I can't say it surprises me that it's #1. Lastly, keep an eye on my Big Fat Lie list on thetoptens. I'm about to add a post (in the next few days) called "Big Fat Lie: Two Years Later" where I analyze the songs individually and essentially do a retrospective review of how my opinion of it has changed two years after first hearing it. It'll be good!

SoulMan I actually have the demo version of Don't Hold Your Breath. I hate that they took out the climax during the bridge on the final version. And I'm not a big fan of Beyoncé. I'd say she's probably about the same. Her voice (and music) don't really move me much.
