I feel like the reason people hate is because they don't take into account that she is a girl trying to sing a song that a boy made and happens to have a completely different accent. +shizzle240 the point of the song (any song) varies for every listener. To me, whenever I listen to her music, I can feel so much emotion behind every word of the song, this is evident from her tone, the way she stressed specific words, it's so dramatic, compelling and beautiful all at once. In one sense, a singer is much like an actor, for their song/role to be good, both must invoke emotions from their audience (at the least). Also, Sam and Nicole are both awesome artists, they are individuals who have their own set of experiences, which makes sense that even though, they both sang the same song, it's a given that it sounds different. FYI, I think that both Sam and Nicole neither lacks passion and intensity when they sing - they both sing from the heart.
