Chilligraphy I think, as well as lack of promotion and air play, it's also because she's been doing other things other than her music, X-Factor and landing the lead female part in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats for example. Also when she was with Lewis Hamilton she tried to spend time with him, with eventually pulled them apart as they couldn't spend enough time together. I think all this detracted some time and attention away from her music which is a shame as she is far more talented than most of the other crap out there. I think it would have mainly been the time spent doing X-Factor that got in the way of her music, I know what I'd rather she did and that wouldn't be X-Factor lol.

Chilligraphy Mixture of factors. She was originally a part of a group which was pretty successful for a couple of years, but it was still a bit to early for hear to leave, she hadn't had proper recognition yet when she tried to release her first album. And when it failed it was like her solo career took off on a bad note. Moreover, her solo material was different from what she did with the Pussycat Dolls, especially their first album, which was the most successful. If she had kept her solo stuff closer to PCD tracks she could have gained a much, much wider audience. Her PCD stuff was almost her solo stuff anyway, she could have stuck to that.

What an amazing skill that is, but what is also amazing is when you have it (the skill) it can still be a bitch to get anyone to look at your stuff. I remember the true story of Kristoferson who had some songs--but could not find anyone to listen to them. He illegally landed his National Guard Chopper on Johnny Cash's lawn--Cash walked out and Kirstoferson said "My name is Kris Kristoferson and I have some songs here I think you should see". Cash looked em over, picked one or two, and made hits with them. But how hard it would be to "break through" by normal means, no matter how good your stuff is. Hard to just call her up and say "let me sing this for you over the phone"---which by the way is how Shania Twain did it with "Mutt" or whatever the guys name is. Sang to him over the phone, and he produced her records, pissed Nashville off.
