Yep, it has a lot of power and capability. The last time I raced King of the Hammers in 2010, we were in the car 10 hrs and 47 minutes from start to the finish line, and I think I blinked 6 times. LOL It's about constantly scanning and reading the terrain, and picking a line. My car was never capable of the kind of speeds we could hit in Jason's, which is why I wore my glasses. I knew that terrain would be flying at me and I wanted to see it clearly! Thank you for watching!

At about 15:36 Jason tells Nicole that she can cruise some more or do whatever she wants. A few seconds later he says,ok, that's 80 MPH. OMG, gotta love it. Even though Nicole's knowledge and driving skills are phenomenal, her personality and enthusiasm keep me coming back for more and more of her video's. And I have to compliment her whole production crew for the super professional videos. I know that a quality 30 minute video like this is the result of a ton of woman/man hours of work. WOW! Somehow, wearing glasses with a helmet and fire suit just can't make you look nerdy, no matter who it is. But with you, it just makes you look more intense and focused. Watching you drive through the course was a lot of fun and brought back memories of my youth running around dirt roads here in Michigan, from hard pack gravel in the south to sand trails in the north and the dunes on lake Michigan in the west. Thanks for this episode. I’ve always loved Ice Hockey (played as a kid) because of the level of skill required to play fast and use a puck at speeds of up to 100mph with a stick. ON ICE. This was my first glimpse into King of the Hammers (this type of racing) and I got the same feeling. Rock crawling is fun. Desert racing is fun. Combine both? YES!! Considering how I drive and beat up my poor old clunky CJ7 “dirt roading” and off roading I think this would easily have been my sport had it existed back in the day. Love it. Very cool. And BTW thanks for pulling the “real” out of people. Watching from the mountains outside of Los Angeles in So Cal.

🇬🇧 That suspension articulation is amazing to watch and then you realise that throughout the full range of travel, the drive is still being transmitted to the wheels at massive torque. Spectacular to watch, especially over the rocks, not even defeated when it has bellied out on a huge boulder. I found myself whistling through my teeth watching you drive through the technical sections 😳 Well done to you and great encouragement from your new passenger

Thank you so much. I really appreciate that. It's been a few years since I've taken on the trails and rocks and I really enjoyed it. Jason was very generous to give me this opportunity..he was an awesome co-pilot! Glad you enjoyed watching!

@@NicoleJohnsonsDetour Did you not feel guilty, like it was cheating on monster trucks? It looked like it was a really addictive sport from the way you were absolutely buzzing from driving it.

@@michaelwilliams4086 I didn't feel guilty at all! If anything, it's the opposite for me. I started in rocks and King of the Hammers... then went to monster trucks. Always felt like I left a little bit of me behind. So happy to have gotten back into a rock buggy!

@@NicoleJohnsonsDetour That explains the skills we saw coming back to you in the video, it looked very natural. Hopefully we will see more of that if you find some sponsors 😁

Good to be alive at a time when motor sports are evolving like this one. Nice driving👏👏. Lived in CO. Rockies for several years but live in Michigan now. I liked the snow, rocks and sand much better than water and muck. Wheeling in the mountains is scary fun.

@@NicoleJohnsonsDetour …..riding mountain sleds into the backcountry to shred some knar on a snowboard is truly a sport of kings. By far the best time of my life. Ever.
