They were in an ambulance that blew up at Christmas, Boyd is still wearing hearing aids from it. Boyd's previous wedding didn't happen because armed gunmen took over the clinic and some cast members died.

Omg the kid who plays Marley is so good and is breaking my heart... I still have hopes that maeve will wake up but I really really hope they don't make her lose her memory and not know who nicole is or be weirded out that she married a woman or anything else like that.. nicole is well past deserving happiness for long than 5 minutes at this point.. poor girl

Paused how? At the speed of Shortland Street plot Maeve will be better by next week and the next story will be off and running. Though I do suspect that given how many episodes the two have been in over the last few weeks they may be sent off on a recuperative honeymoon for a couple of weeks.

@@nicolezara5327 I saw in the upcoming episode for the 19th November something about *A bad seed being planted for Nicole* so I hope the writers make it so Maeve comes out, we see the romance between Maeve and Nicole and then whatever problems Nicole has to face, she faces it together with her wife and comes out stronger than ever

@@amgs88 YR has literally put these two on a back-burner and aren't writing for them anymore. What they do give them is so little and insignificant (not to mention how poorly they're shooting socially distanced) that it's annoying. They have a short storyline coming up in Nov (Tessa will have a new song too) tho and by short I really do mean short
