NICU Music Therapy

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center (Vancouver, WA) is one of the very first hospitals to use music therapy to calm and soothe neo-natal ICU patients. Certified Music Therapist Susan Palmieri works with families to create songs of kin, that signal babies to calm themselves during moments of stress. Music therapy is a great benefit in treating babies during procedures where medication cannot be used.
