Hey Mr/miss Design Aspirant :D Gandhinagar is a PG campus and Ahmedabad has the main NID UG courses. If you are Auto enthusiast, try getting into UG Product Design of NID, Ahmedabad. You will have auto designers around you! If not NID, I think MIT,Loni provides UG in automotive design. That can be your backup ;)
