Much as I love LWJ & WWX, I’ll rewatch The Untamed for NHS. The strategy (& yes, manipulation) involved with a long-term approach to avenge his brother & punish JGY for his betrayals is impressive & IMHO admirable. It wasn’t a hearts & flowers growth or change for love/a loved one, but the love he had for his brother (& desire for justice/or if you’re less charitably inclined: vengeance) led NHS to grow & adapt. Few would bother or actually be successful in achieving retribution like NHS did.

I just loved it how you represented it all so well in this video that while Wei Ying and Lan Zhan were in their journey in search of the Truth, Justice and Love (i love them), Nie Huaisang was just wanted his brother, the person that he could always count to have his back and defend him his only family and last ally, when he couldn't have him back he went in search of revenge, that one he one day considered a friend turned out to have killed his brother, and while he died was smiling, and after it all still pretend to love and care for him. Through it all Huaisang had to put on mask after mask, pretend he didn't know anything, smile and fool around with his brother murderer, he was never the strongest but he used the streng he had to avenge his brother made plan after plan, and in his brother memory he raised his sect. And until today , until my last day i say: I Love WanXian. But Nie Huaisang stole my heart since the first time i READ the novel, and gosh the actor did an awesome job, i come for WangXian but Huaisang you're the reason i come back.

On my perspective, NHS in the drama is not that bad. He is just a child and wants to be protected by his brother so he can do what he likes doing e.g. drawing and playing with his fans. When JGY killed his brother, he took revenge. This made sense. In the fiction mdzs, NHS killed JGY because he wanted to replace him. He was an ambitious person. I only like NHS in the drama but not in the book. And I love this Nie brothers couple. In the film about them, NMJ became irritated after hearing NSH playing flute. He killed all people. but he stopped when he saw NHS. I like this couple because only NHS can stop NMJ from being crazy and this also shows that NMJ loves NHS much. The parents of Nie brothers were dead early. NMJ was the only one who takes care of and looks after him. NMJ took up a lot of responsibility but this cannot be a reason that he kicked JGT T^T haha idk what I am saying. It is just a mess. I hate the nie brothers because they killed JIggy but I love them too.

I'm just reading the amendment. So I don't know yet exactly how the NHS will be drawn in the end. I really like him in the drama: D NMJ was very direct. Pride and honor were what killed him. Not JGY. So JGY too: D, but if NMJ hadn't taken his existence with such reluctance and forced him into things that were unacceptable to him, JGY wouldn't have killed him. He shouldn't have used the NHS to murder (in the drama). What HNS managed to play playing the flute in the tomb contributed little to the NMJ madness. If he didn't, the NHS he didn't know about the murder, and WWX would probably never return. Thus JGY would live a beautiful life with LXCH: D But that's just it. Everyone has some reasons to behave the way they do. : D I understand why you don't like them brothers. But they had a beautiful relationship: D

I have to disagree on that. Nie Huaisang from the novel didn't plot against Jin Guangyao to replace him. He didn't do it for power but revenge for his brother. Just like in the drama. But MDZS are told in the perspective of WWX so we only get a glimpse of NHS and NMJ dynamic but I can still see how close these two brothers are. NHS wouldn't get away with so many things if it's not because he is spoiled rotten by his brother after all.

@@いざち really?! but i think in the novel NHS wanted to replace JGY. Of course, i didnt say he killed JGY all because he wanted to replace him but it is only part of the reason. And at last the novel didn't tell who inherited JGY's place. WWX and LWJ went to live in seclusion and i dont think Lan Qiren will did that. LXC isolated himself. Jiang Cheng would not want too and JinLin was too young for it. Therefore, it should probably be NHS who inherited JGY's place because they are the top 5 clans.

@@shroomblue819 True, even the author did mention that NHS will eventually become a Chief Cultivator in the future. But that doesn't mean that he kill JGY for the position. After all, he is clearly not the kind of character that wanted power nor position or he would have work harder in his teenage year much like how JGY work hard to be respected. In fact, NHS often act as incompetent everytime we see him, heck even as a sect leader, he never seem happy with his position. I do believe if he ever become chief cultivator, it might be out of necessity or the lack of any other candidate. But my point still remain, NHS and NMJ had a close relationship or NMJ wouldn't have always worried over him everytime. NHS even called NMJ's sworn brother as his own brother (unlike LWJ who only refer to them with their name or title). NMJ seems to act much like how JC acts toward Jin Ling. He sounds harsh threaten his nephew all the time but never actually punish him. If he ever considered to be a chief cultivator, it would only be a secondary objective after getting revenge over NMJ and not vice versa.

@@いざち Yea maybe you are right then but people will change over time. He was not interested in the position before (when he was young) but it doesn't mean he was not interested all the time. and i think a lot of people want JGY's position too. If NHS didn't want to be, he could let them do (for example the Yao sect leader or another leader in a less big clan) and I totally understand what you mean between NMJ and NHS. Their relationship is good. yes, I agree NHS killed JGY was partly because of taking revenge for NMJ but I also think taking JGY's position is a slighter reason too btw my eng is poor i hope u understand what i mean

This is an amazing vid but are all the clips from untamed? Because I just dont recognise them. I cant even remember in which part of the story, be it novel or series, some of these clips happened in. And yet I see these are the characters. When did Huaisang run over the broken bridge or through the foggy maze or grab a saber from someone?? Why dont I remember?😭😭😭😭💔💔💔
