It is a well-known story among Yamashita Tatsuro's fans that this song was written for Mariya Takeuchi, the current Mrs. Yamashita Tatsuro. However, due to a decision by the staff of the record company to which Mariya belongs, the song was rejected and Tatsuro Yamashita himself decided to sing it, and it became a song loved by his fans. The song was recorded by Mariya Takeuchi herself a few years ago and a CD was released. If you have a chance, please listen to it too.
