NieR: Automata | A Beautiful Song | Opera Boss Lyrics

If you didn't already know, I attempted this video before, with the audio from the opera boss trailer from last year or so, the audio on that trailer was vastly inferior to that of the game's final version, so here I am updating it. Gameplay footage was recorded by myself.
The text at the top of the screen is written in "Celestial" or "Angelic" script, not completely accurate, I only put it in for the Aesthetic bonus.

These lyrics aren't at all official, just a fan transcription, feel free to use them in any covers or anything you plan on doing, and whilst I'm not going to hunt you down for not crediting, it would be appreciated if you could link to this video.
The language sung in many NieR tracks, (Excluding ashes of dreams and The weight of the world) is not a proper spoken language, and is actually a mish mash of several real world languages to create a fictional portrayal of the language drift between today and the game(s) setting.

Thats because he didnt have the "gift" of love. It was said that each machine had a differant gift (emotion/interest). So while simone had the gift of love, jean paul had the gift of knowladge, eo he didnt know the meaning of love

I thought the same thing the first time I played this game. As I was fighting Simone I could only image what the words were about and how they pertain to this little bots madness. How the rejection made her go insane because of her human perception of love and that you need to be beautiful to be loved. You can see this big machine isn’t her real body. My head cannon is that chaos language was actually not made by humans, instead it was created by androids since they have access to all human languages. The androids look up to humans because they saw humanity at their best, fighting for existence. And so they created chaos language based on the languages of humanity. The ‘ancients’ who created the language may actually be the original androids that worked alongside humans before humanity got wiped out. The language itself doesn’t need to have meaning as it’s more ornamental, something to remember humanity by.

I knew this game was a masterpiece when SImone started screaming "look at me" and the camera deliberately moves away from her and does everything it can to not let you see her. Few games nowadays use everything in their toolkits (Music,Story,Gameplay,Aesthetics) to deliver a unique and singular vision. When the line "feeling the halo" comes, simone literally attacks you with halo hoops... If you see closely, most of her attacks are just unique fountains and patterns of energy balls and rings meaning she is still trying to look beautiful even during the fight... All the more, I like to think that she is just dancing around using different moves just to look beautiful what we (9s and 2b) perceive as a fight.... I think if 9s or 2b just told her that she is beautiful, there wouldn't even be a boss fight at all....

In DoD the watchers are called 天使(angels) in Japanese, because they are sent by the gods to destroy humanity. The written language they used in Drakengard is called the Angelic Alphabet(Celestial Alphabet), which was created by someone in the 16th Century in the real world. The font itself was not created by the composer of the songs, but exists before that, DoD and Nier simply used it in their games. Chaos is the language she sang in. Get your facts straight.
