Our family sailed last year on this ship from Québec City to Boston and despite hurricane Fiona we were happy the stabilizers did a great job. We love this ship. Your comments are always appreciated and thank you for sharing.

@@cruisetipswithchristina I have subscribed and I’m learning so much from you. Yesterday I purchased a last minute cruise with HAL for Alaska departing Aug 26. Sailing on Koningsdam. The only cabin left was ocean view. I prefer verandahs but it is what it is. In February I’m booked for an 11 day cruise to 7 ports in the carribean. Sailing Eurodam. So excited!!

we love deck 4 mid-level as you can still see ocean and you get shade on balcony and not so hot and even some added privacy and about 500.00 less than deck 5- they are also quiet--

Deck four balconies are just fine !!!

Deck 4 also one level walk stairs to walking entire ship deck and stair up to 5 and6 for most main attractions and best of all is on and off the ship at each port you can AVOID elevators and we have been on so people should look at 4 as so many positive reasons

Avoid deck 4 completely? That's nuts. Of course there are several verandah rooms with obstructed views, but there are plenty of verandah rooms with no obstructed view at all. Also, you recommend deck 3, yet there are no rooms on deck 3....so that's a bit weird and confusing.

Oh dear! Sometimes I get nervous and say the wrong thing. Of course there are no cabins on deck 3! That's where the entertainment is!! I would still not want to see a lifeboat out my window on deck 4. If you can snag deck 5 or 6 that is way better! Thanks for the comment and for calling me out. Whoops!!

@@cruisetipswithchristina , I'll need to echo @lynnblankenship4311 's comment above re: Deck 4 Verandah (balcony) cabins. The HAL deck plan for the Nieuw Statendam shows that Deck 4 has 3 different sub-classes of Verandah cabins: VH, VF, and VB. "All VH-category staterooms have partially obstructed views", per the deck plan - and, if I counted correctly, 84 of the Verandah cabins on Deck 4 are in this class. But, also on Deck 4, there are 18 cabins in VF class and 44 cabins in VB class that DO NOT have obstructed views. Plus, the VB cabins have larger / deeper balconies than the norm on the ship.

Are you for real? Sorry but you have no credibility. Calling it the Nieuw Statendam ship - all the time is annoying. We know its a ship! You are so unprofessional. Nothing is perfect and all cabins have pros and cons. “Are my teeth blue?”
