It was actually how barrister formed fuji. Others were only singing were or mix of were and apala or were and sakara. He was the only fuji musician adapting or singing juju, afro, disco, apala, sakara according to what the party organizers love to listen to. Until he finally defined the genre in 1978 album. And that same period, musicians in general challenged him and called for his ban in the meeting in ibadan chaired by baba legba. It was baba legba who refused to agree to the call and when the argument became embroiled, baba legba became sick and asked to be taken back to Abeokuta where he died on the way
