Nigel and Eric Boocock at THE SYDNEY SHOWGROUND in the 60s those were the days up against Jim Airey Bob Sharpe Ivan Mauger to name a few some of the BEST SOLO riding you would ever see John Sherwood the PROMOTER loved those POMMIES great DRAWCARD When the KANGAROOS v THE LIONS in the TEST MATCHES there would be 25000 to 30000 SPEEDWAY FANS at those meetings l was lucky to have been ONE of those people l would go down to THE PITS with my Uncle Geoff after the meeting speak to Nigel and Eric they ALWAYS had time for THE FANS I REALLY MISS THOSE DAYS

I was in the stands too. What a time that was at the Sydney Showground on a Saturday night when the solos of the Kangaroos and the Lions were the drawcard. I drove up from Wollongong and was always one of the first cars waiting for the gates to open. Jim Airey and Nigel Boocock were the greatest.

Well Nigel I know you will be sadly missed by your family we here missed you when you moved to Australia not forgetting brother Eric .We fans know how hard the game is I have said it before any man that rides one of these machines is a Champion ! On behalf of myself your fans thank you for some great thrills and entertainment courage around the track.Again thank you mate Bob Lowe West Midlands 72 years.

Remember him beating Ivan in the rain at Belle Vue ...Light Blue Leathers ..Coventry Captain . Little Boy Blue RIP.
