The clip where they are in the room being told to look straight is from a show called American Hustle Life. And out of context it looks hilarious, but then you watch it and realize that they were all genuinely terrified. That prank was extremely, extremely scary. Jungkook almost cried and Suga almost fully threw hands. This was back when they were nobodies, and it was their first time in America. They were in a country they didn’t know, and suddenly these agressive English speaking guys were breaking into their car, taking all of their phones, and driving them somewhere while yelling at them. They were quite literally scared for their lives because even though it turned out to be a prank, to them, they got kidnapped and had no idea what was going to happen. It’s honestly hard to watch now just because of how real you can see their fear was. Before it was revealed it was a prank, it seemed like Suga shut off so he didn’t show he was scared. Suga, RM, and Jin were all clearly trying to be strong for the others and you can see RMs brain working a mile a minute trying to figure out how the hell to get them out of the situation. The maknae line and Hoseok were just scared out of their wits, but especially Jungkook.

They took it too far, Jungkook was 15 or 16 years old that time i think and given that they do not speak english aside from namjoon, jungkook was trying his best to understand the big guys who kidnapped them just to obey them and not hurt them.. It may seem funny because it was dubbed but for me, that is the only show that i did regret to watch..

The scene where you say they look terrified - that is from American Hustle Life, filmed in LA, in July 2014. They are really young, Tae and Jimin are still 18 and Jungkook is still 16, and that show started rough…they were fetched from the airport in a van, then it was parked somewhere and they were left in their own…suddenly (for them) these large, grown men burst into the van, confiscate their phones and abduct them. It’s part of the show, but they don’t know that, they are just kids, in a foreign country, alone - and they are seriously frightened. I don’t like that show. I know BTS learned a lot, and it made them stronger, so I am sure they are glad they did it, but I don’t like it 🤷‍♂️ Seeing youngsters so genuinely scared, just for entertainment, doesn’t sit well with me, and the fact that it is BTS (who are the sweetest, kindest youngsters) just makes it that much worse… There are funny parts of course, but 😳 You will find American Hustle Life on YT - this exert here is from episode 1 I think

True! Suga is gangster! This was “hustle life”, the tv show/episodes they did in LA, when they were going with the Hiphop vibe. This was the first night, they were pranked kidnapped. Same show where the boys met Tony, the one that Jimin really liked, and gave him the nickname ChimChim. The show itself was pretty good, there were some really cool parts, and some really corny parts. But this is where they met Warren G, and RM later after the show, got to work with him.
