The blue paint was tears, the tree is a reference to something called The Blue Tree Project that started in Australia. It’s to raise awareness of mental health and the stigma behind “it’s okay not to be okay”. Binnie said he wrote this and would call it a slump, he said it was the first time he was having a hard time mentally and felt like he couldn’t tell anyone. So he said he wrote the song to help bring comfort to others feeling the same way and that it brought him comfort to write the song. He talks about it the Go Live intro

I really like your interpretation of the tree. I have read somewhere, that the blue paint on the tree symbolizes mental heath. Caring for your mental health and acknowledging that you’re not ok and need help (it’s okay to be not okay). It’s a song that has touched many peoples hearts because of its honesty and empathy ❤

I really like how you do an intro to your reactions, Vex. It adds that extra something, a mini reaction to your main reaction. And this song hits hard. Being an Aussie, I used to think this was about The Blue Tree Project in Australia but I later learnt there is also The Blue Tree Foundation in South Korea, both addressing mental health issues but different contexts, both started after the loss of very loved young men.

This is one of the first skz records I’ve heard and it’s still on replay. I’ve never really been able to sum up how I feel until I’ve heard this song, and it was like an awakening. I’ve related to this song the most of all stray kids songs, the lyrics hit hard and I’m so happy that this song exists.
