What sends me the most is the fact that I.N. and Yeosang became friends while practicing for the Wolf performance. Freaking I.N. and Yeosang. It seems like individual members knew each other before kingdom but they all really bonded during Kingdom. They're super busy so the most we usually know these days is them mentioning each other or doing a dance challenge together. Yunho said he and a few others from both groups game together sometimes in a live shortly after kingdom. My dream is to someday get a studio song with both groups on it that is streamable. Edit: btw ateez debuted the same year as stray kids about 7 months apart, so at this point 7 years after their debuts the difference is negligable.

Changbin's friend group is nicknamed 'the darlingz' sometimes, and it's typically him, Wooyoung, and Yeonjun (TXT)- but also Dino from Seventeen. They're really close- I've seen clips of Hyunjin or Felix hanging out with them and it's really cute. You should check out some of the Changbin and Yeonjun moments- I can only imagine how chaotic all three of them are together. I love SKZ and Ateez being friends, they have such a similar vibe and attitude to performance I can see them really respecting each other as professionals as well as loving each other as people. I hope we get more collabs in the future.

They knew they had the dance proficiency and vocal adaptability, but given that the challenges were dance, rap, and vocal and they would be split up, they wanted to pick groups that could fill in the gaps they had when split apart. SKZ had rap DOWN PACKED, which was SUPER important with Mingi missing and Seonghwa not being tested as a rapper really, and moving him from the dance challenge would mean losing one of their best visual performers. BtoB filled in vocals in BOTH arrangements and talent, as well as having solid additions to the other challenges. This also freed up San and Seonghwa (and Yunho IMO) for the dance performance as well (where they made up for SKZ and BtoB only having a smaller number of members that were dance/performance focused, especially as all groups were missing members). 33:40 IDK either. But I genuinely don’t think The Boyz would have won 2nd. I think missing Mingi was a little bit of a penalty for ATZ. Now would having Mingi been enough to make up for a SKZ w/ Hyunjin? I genuinely don’t know. 37:02 ATEEZ knew they came from the smallest company out of anyone on the show. They had one of the smallest (though VERY dedicated) fanbases. They obviously wanted to win, but they knew their chances weren’t notably high, so they had a more important (and very successfully achieved) goal of going out with more fans than they came with. Kingdom ended up being a MASSIVE catalyst of interest that they took advantage of by dropping 2 Korean albums, a Japanese OST release, a collab with an industry giant, and taking on a Pepsi sponsorship.

as an atiny kingdom was a nightmare for us and im not even exaggerating. mingi was on hiatus due to anxiety the members were getting hurt they didnt have a break because they were quite literally in the middle of a comeback and they were getting horribly mistreated by mnet who gave ateez the worst treatment no break room no couches like the other groups they had to sit on chair in the hallway because their break room was a literal closet who couldnt for more than 4 people so the members had to get ready outside in the hall. on top of that rumors were being spread about them by the fandoms of the other groups in kingdom especially stays. ateez were getting accused of paying off the show and buying votes and of getting "special treatment" when it was the literal opposite. it got so bad that kq had to release a statement saying it was false accusations and they were going to take action against anybody and everybody. the members even said it was a traumatic time for them they erased it from their memory.

Stray kids, Ateez, The Boyz and TXT are really close to each other. You can find many videos of them interacting Wooyung and Changbin already knew each other, but Ateez and Stray kids got more close because of Kingdom The Boyz debuted right before Stray Kids, so they worked togheter a lot. It's easy to find Younghoon and Haknyeon with Stray kids or even the English line (Jacob, Kevin and Eric) talking about Felix and Chan Wooyoung and Haknyeon (The Boyz) are friends since school, you can see they laughing at eachother on Kingdom Wooyoung and Yeosang were trainees from BigHit before going to KQ, so they trained with TXT. Because of this, their teams became closer Wooyoung, Changbin and Yeonjun (TXT) are a trio of bestfriends, they are really funny togheter
