I always find Nigella very entertaining to watch with elegance and class. She is also a good mother to her 2 children. I can never get bored watching her. She is the best celebrity chef out of all of them in my opinion.

If I were Nigella’s child I would always be helping her in the kitchen AND eating the whole lot of what she cooks. Her kids needed to be persuaded most times to eat! They don’t even realise they have a Food Goddess for a mother!

No salt in meat loaf, pea puree, scallops, pesto, pasta.... No nuts in pesto.... I never get it why she is so against seasoning... Especially salt....

Upasana saha she tasted the food and said it didn't need salt. What do you not get?
@humanormachine29366 жыл бұрын
She does season a lot of her food generously, I don't know why she skimps on it in some instances. Maybe it depends on who she's cooking for, but, yeah, I've always noticed this.
@christineaygin43306 жыл бұрын
she put salt in with the onions to stop them burning - plus the blue cheese sauce which is very salty
@valfletcher92856 жыл бұрын
She knows herbs so well! She describes them with so many adjectives I can almost realize them. One reason that I love her cooking is her wide range of use of seasonings and spices;herbs. I am from South Louisiana and our food here tends to be on the spicy (and often, salty) side and I think she is just right with her seasoning, whether it be hot or otherwise aromatic. She uses more salt many times than I would. She uses kosher, sea salt, flaky salt, free flow salt....geez she knows her seasoning! ha
@cynthiaharrell21445 жыл бұрын
She is British. They dont cook with a lot of seasonings.Their seasonings are butter and cream. Nigella is bringing them around on herbs, garlic and sesonings though.

What is pesto
@ebonyratcliff65086 жыл бұрын
Basil, garlic, Parmesan cheese, pine nuts, olive oil blended and tossed with pasta
@susaedu3683 жыл бұрын
It's "linguine" and it's pronounced "leen-gwee-nay". "Linguini" in italian means "small tongues" and in slang is "tiny french kisses". Call this exceptional pasta by the right name. 💚🤍❤

Nigella adds salt where she feels it's needed other wise she prefers people to season their meal as they dine.
@toughbutsweet13 жыл бұрын
This may be a generalization, but I visited the UK and found most of the food to have very little salt. Unfortunately for me, when I added salt it tasted salty, not salted.

pesto has pine nuts, sweetie. evn walnuts or pumkins seeds will do. You're missing the point of pesto
@sakshirawal77947 жыл бұрын
WAVE OUR FLAG the whole point of her saying that is that if one ingredient isn't available you can use other substitutes. She knows that pine nuts are not available everywhere in the world. Where I live, pine nuts aren't available or are super expensive so I use walnuts in pesto. So no sweety, she does make a very good poing
@waveourflag30107 жыл бұрын
So what's your point? How do you know what she is thinking? That's conjecture. She never said pine nuts weren't available. If the recipe was conveyed, they could have admitted that they left out a crucial ingredient. or said they had none. They have the finances to do pull off the accuracy in ingredients. Beluga caviar is also available most places in the civilized world but not everywhere. How do you know she knows pine nuts aren't available everywhere?
@emmaflint61266 жыл бұрын
Nigella never tells people how to make things she just tells you how she makes things, maybe her children prefer it without pine nuts. If you don't like how she cooks don't bloody watch it.
@theywalkinguptoyouand40606 жыл бұрын
WAVE OUR FLAG the point of pesto is pine nuts? Or seeds? You seem to miss the point entirely
@emmaflint61266 жыл бұрын
No I haven't missed the point, that's how Nigella does her shows. So pesto has pine nuts in it just because she isn't shown putting them in doesn't mean they aren't there. It all boils down to the fact you're a patronising fucker who thinks everyone is entitled to your opinion and if they dare to disagree with you you shove it down their throat.
