Parading European based players is both a blessing and a curse. We (Nigeria) didn't come with our creative midfielders to the tournament because it is always a real struggle to get their European clubs release them to African nations, you all know the politics (racism). Napoli is not happy that Osimhen is playing in the AFCON. In fact, they didn't release him for the previous edition. I heard that Bayer L didn't released Nathan Tella for us because we took Victor Boniface, who unfortunately got injured. I'll say kudos to our technical staff for making do with what we have. Kudos to SA too for giving us a good competition. Lastly, help me greet Motsepe for being a blessing to African football. He's the best so far. May the standard never drop.

I think South African need to give more credit to their team! You guys played well! The possession football was everything and you all should be super proud of how well the South African league is showcased at AFCON - I was super impressed. Nigeria were lucky and a bit of experience played a part for them as well but overall, the team on the night was Bafana Bafana! I really hope they get the bronze to make up for their overall effort cos they really deserve something out of this tournament haven beaten the No1 ranked nation (Morocco) on the continent! The problem with one team selection will be replacement. Like when u hav to change system. U look at modiba he needed to be dropped simply coz of his offensive inactive. Nigerian defenders didn't bother to add in the attack most of the time they dit back .my point is if u play with a certain team philosophy what if it dont work .like our players cant play quick biild up football .Nigeria knew they will face slow building football team .the fan busy praising mokoena to European football as a hero do you remember what happened to us against France take it from there.bt for Nigeria game if we were intelligent enough the game was in our hand.go nd watch our Mali game u will see we still shot simply coz Nigerians didnt execute the whole European style of play.
