Nigeria was once a cocoa exporter. Its main export before the discovery of oil was cocoa, and its export generated almost 90% of Nigeria's foreign exchange earnings. This tells the story of a Nigeria cocoa farmer Lawani, who in 1949 is a member of a farmers co-operative that grows, harvest and export cocoa to the rest of the world.
This video was made in an effort by British colonial office to show its critics of colonial effort the "most valuable account" of its achievement in colonial Africa.
