Technology must not be muscled, we are blessed to have these people being innovative, the government should encouraged them, with more robustness intergretion into the systems.

I have said before , give one of the NNPCL refineries to the guys in the creeks to produce pms, regulate them. They are not criminal, they have been refining oil products before Dangote refinery therefore, regulate them to Nigeria products standards. They have a wealth of experience in the industry. The government call them criminal, they are not criminal, technically they are very intelligent. I always say that there is no big deal in a refinery, 80% is junk of storage tanks and pipes, pressure gauges, and temperature controls that the guys in the creeks with their cooking pots have perfection. They are indigenous oil, PMS manufacturing entity that don't need to import any foreign to build the refinery. There is no big deal in a refinery, but the cooking pot. Storage tanks and pipes are more than anything else. They are good assets to Nigeria. Nigerian government, wake up.

Regulation should be on how the level of their technology, how they should operate, how the wastes should be taken care of, where they get their products from.

I think, it is time we need to be realistic in dealing with the issue of illegal refining of crude oil. If the activities of those people involved in illegal refineries are regulated and brought to the forefront, Nigeria will be the better for it. We can eliminate the risk factors in these activities and train many of the jobless Nigerians to creat tremendous wealth. This will drastically reduce crime and criminality in the country.

Why is the guest separating "micro refiners" from illegal crude? Would they have existed without the illegal crude? If the point is that he wants the government to "adopt" the illegal refiners, the questions to ask are: 1) Will their initially criminal motives align with regulatory standards of doing clean business in the long term? 2) If government will not dash them crude oil free-of-charge, will their scale of operation ever make such refining sustainable/profitable? Is the guests just relating genuine concerns about the "persecuted bunkerers" to the public or he unwittingly just let his weird sympathy for the sordid out of the bag? Government too needs to explain how some "artisanal miners" got their licenses to operate in other parts of the country, in order to make this fair and noble.

Individuals with less than $1 million in the creeks can refine crude but the Federal Government cannot have a single refinery with the entire national budget. And people are supporting APC? 😂😂 😂😅 very funny

What is she not understanding from the word "regulation" By going back and forth from his answers?

Why is this even on discussion. Do you know what it means to refine crude? The standards, the environment impact and regulatory implications? Those illegal refineries need to be shut down completely and cracked down on seriously. Refining crude should not be an all comers affair.
