Yet a Yoruba man is bold enough to talk truth to power. Regionalism is the only thing that can preserve Nigeria in a loose federation. I agree with this man because in all these regions, our cultures and religion are not one. There will be challenges but not as intractable as it is now and has been ever since. How do you develop a non meritorious society. If quota and federal character methods would have worked after over 60 years in practice, the progress would have been visible. This very feudal system is only benefiting a very tiny percentage of Northerners and their Southern Collaborators. Apart from the fact that the Northern elites have ruled Nigeria for over 40 or more years of this 64 years of existence as a federation, where's the benefits to the masses of the North. It's only a tiny fraction of them who are repeaing the benefits. If you look at every aspect of human development indices, 95% of Northerners are worse off. Unfortunately, they will use the same impoverished masses to agitate to maintain the status quo. Ignorance at play.
