Nigeria's military leaders meet in Aburi, Ghana | January 4 & 5 1967

Footage of the conclusion of the Aburi Conference, a peace initiative chaired by the Ghanaian military ruler, Lieutenant General Joseph Ankrah. The talks, which were held on January 4 and 5 1967, aimed to avert the threatened secession of the Eastern Region of Nigeria.
