We are proud of who we are our culture even if we grow up or are born outside Nigeria we never abandon our culture my kids are mixed am Nigerian dad is British they are so white that ones I was asked if I was a nanny but they tell everyone that ask them where are you from they say Nigerian first and British second my husband made sure to get them their Nigerian passport even duo they were born outside Nigeria

Can you please not use that word for Nigeria? Influential, yes, gaining clout, yes, giant of Africa yes but please never call Nigeria a c0l0niser as you should know it's a term that denotes genocyde, various h0l0causts, murders, p1llaging, armed robbery, forced imposition of foreign culture, language and identity, large scale decept1on amongst many other cr1mes done to Africans and many other places in the global south. It is therefore insulting and highly insensitive to use such a term to describe this African country.

Cultural colonizers. Meaning Nigerian culture is becoming very influential across the globe 🌎 You see not all Nigerians can speak pidgin English. And for the global Western citizens to speak it tells the efforts they made in learning it. Also the Webster dictionary incorporated 30 Nigerian pidgin English words in their latest edition. It is what it is.
