The singing was most entertaining. A beautiful voice!😮

Well I stand by my reply from the unkind comment about the children. This was a very touching snapshot of a mum sharing the wonder of birth with her own little brood of cuties. I thought they were all extremely well behaved and as your does are used to them, I'm sure it didn't bother her unduly. Heck a couger could have sauntered up and snuggled down, Mum only had eyes for her treasures. Thank you for sharing such a lovely memory and many blessing to you all. P. S. What's one or two more little kids ☺️

You're right, our does are perfectly content with my kids sharing space with theirs, and I do my best to remind them that mama is working hard and doesn't need to be crowded while laboring. My crew of four kiddos met her crew of four and they all loved each other ♡♡

My goats have free access to hay and pasture ♡ however, during labor most Moms loose their appetite and don't regain it until after birth.

I had a feeling when you said it was 80 that they were hot. She was is the leave me alone mood. Both your goats are sweet. Please explain why you cannot keep the does if the father is not a bred buck anymore. Did her get his sister or mom?

Our starter herd was grade goats, which means they had no papers or pedigrees. We kept a few favorites from those but have sold most of our grade goats because we want to move into bettering the Nigerian Dwarf breed through tests and shows. Unfortunately, Nigerian Dwarfs can only be papered if both parents are registered so mama is a show girl, but daddy is not and none of his babies can possibly be papered even though he seems to pass along some good traits. As our first herdsire, he gets to hang out now and love his girls without the baby making.

every animal must not be disturbed by humans especially children because they cannot concentrate on their giving birth,

To a point, I agree. I do my best to keep distance between children and goats and they are removed from the area if the consistently disrespect her space. However, I will always be present during births if possible because nature is cruel. I'd rather intervene and save lives than let nature take its course if birth doesn't go as intended.

Goats kid in herds on a regular basis. These two girls have lived together for over a year and get along just fine. They did beautifully and kidded less than 24 hours apart
@susanfreisinger86104 ай бұрын
Not trying to be disrespectful however your children should be kept away from the birthing mama. Also your pen and property are less than ideal for safely raising animals.
@GatherTogetherHomestead4 ай бұрын
I appreciate your comment, but our family and animals are happy with our setup and growing every year as we build to our needs. We may not be perfect, but it works for us. I also feel it necessary to say: this is not our goat setup. Our goats have a large space with rotational grazing micro pastures and all kinds of fun stuff to play on and keep active. This is an isolation pen purely for the purpose of keeping laboring mamas and babies close. It is meant to be a temporary space that is very close to our home so we can supervise easier and act quicker if assistance is necessary.

What an awful, rude and cruel comment to leave. Your leaving a clip of Your home life and everything and one in that, especially those dearest to you and that little songbird has a beautiful voice. Most people that hear her song will be blessed by it. How terribly sad this person can't feel that. Please tell her that I loved her voice and she should never stop singing. The world needs much more of it. I haven't reached the end of the clip yet and can already tell that you know and care for all of your many brood with love and gentleness. It's lovely to see.
