Guys my spirit tells me that we should give Eric Chelle a chance, it looks as though he's God sent for the revival of our free flow football style Nigerians are known for around the Globe. Looking back from time immemorial, from coaches like Marotzke Karl-Heinz (Polish-1970) Otto Gloria (Brazilian) Father Jelisavicic Tihomir-Tiko (Yugoslavian) Höner Manfred (German) Clemens Westerhof (Dutch -1989-1994) etc, the foundation they laid was based on free flow pattern because of the athletic and physicality of Nigerian players. Notable players from the 1970's to date to mention but a few are: Tony Igwe, Okorigwe Charles, Haruna Ilerika, Kenneth Olayombo, Aloysius Atuegbu, Christian Chukwu, Godwin Odiye, Thompson Usiyen, Adokiye Amiesimaka, Muda Lawal, Segun Odegbami, Felix Owolabi, Stephen Keshi, Kenneth Boardman, Yisa Sofoluwe, Paul Okoku, Olukanni Brothers, Louis Igwilo, Ademola Adeshina, Henry Nwosu, Chibuzor Ehilegbu, Rashidi Yekini, Bala Ali, Jay Jay Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu, Daniel Amokachi, 1996 Olympic Team, Nduka Ugbadi, 1st Golden Eaglets winning team, Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman etc. These players are all products of free flowing football foundation from our founding fathers/coaches. This man is not a bad Coach after all, if he can play some good football with the kind of players he had in Mali, then he can perform wonders with the better caliber of players we have in the super eagles or were we expecting Jose Mourinho or Pep guardiola as the new coach?
