We say M.I's better because over the years, M.I has been strictly hip-hop. YCee came up hip-hop, but later switched to Afro beats, Pop and RnB to stay commercial, which is fine btw. He sometimes raps but I really can't count on my fingers the real hard core rap YCee tracks. When M.I came in '08, the Nigerian rap scene wasn't being paid attention to. M.I came and made hard core rap interesting to us. PS: Bar for bar, I don't think YCee can touch M.I. That's like comparing someone like Nas to Cordae, or Jay-Z to Polo G or something. But I must admit, YCee went hard on this track, and before this, I had never heard him go hard like this.

You really haven't studied the Nigerian industry enough to pick one over the other. You need to listen to a lot more of their songs. You can react to a few that you like, but you have to go through their discographies, then you have something to base your opinion on. MI isn't just an OG, he's been very consistent. He's a very intelligent rapper. Makes songs for commercial purposes but also spits hardcore when he needs to (go listen to his Monster verse).

MI has almost everything a great rapper needs - technique, delivery, flow switch, word play (not many better than him here), punchlines - name it. He's delivered too many great songs to ever be compared to YCee. Ladipoe is even closer to MI's level than YCee is.
