There's something about Smith and doubles that makes me believe he practices scoring massive numbers and doesn't much practice his outs. Something needs to change my man, or you'll be stuck as runner-up in everything you enter!

I think it's more a problem of mentality than of just not hitting them because of a lack of training.

@@tetrakfecn6864 Perhaps, but you can see the confidence in someone like Fallon Sherrock when she's on the biggest stage of her career, whacking in doubles for fun because that's all she's practiced. Her scoring by comparison is lacklustre. It's the marriage of both that wins tournaments, even if you don't have a natural throw. Taylor for example was almost unbeatable for very long time and that's because his was a mechanical throw, practiced and revised to death until it couldn't be beaten. I don't know if Smith needs a change in equipment, an extra gram added or taken away, different grip or flights... I don't know, but if Wright can chop and change and eventually find a dart to become world champion win, it's worth and exploration.

Given that he is where he is after being in the pdc for less than a year is amazing. I think only Rob Cross has had a better first year in the PDC. The rankings are done on 2 years results and he has only 1 years results to count. Very impressive form, and given that he was BDO champ for 3 years straight before joining well worth sticking him in there. Sink or swim in the premier league either way there'd be a great story for the media.

I would like to see the darts ref act as snooker refs when crowd gets unruly; "Stewards, please see that person out." It wouldn't happen often once word got round. Booing is not part of any game and is a foul example to set for children.
