Night Diving with Manta Rays in Hawaii

This checks off a bucket list dive in Kona, Hawaii! Before night falls, the dive masters go down and set up flood lights in a "fire ring" on the bottom of the ocean. (About 20 feet down) The lights attract plankton which the manta rays feed on. Once the sun has gone down and it is dark, we descend and lay quietly on our tummy's to wait for the show to begin... we don't have to wait long before the 1st manta ray makes his debut. They glide over our heads over and over! It's like they rehearse and choreograph this show. It feels like we are watching a space show and they are flying around the stars! If you can't tell, we really liked this dive and would go back again and again to enjoy these beautiful creatures!

About TripNdive:
We are a family of scuba divers and want to add a little fun to our scuba adventures. We started out hiding treasures underwater and on land. With the recent events, we try to get outdoors and go scuba diving as much as we can locally for treasure. Once traveling gets easier, we'll start hiding treasures again.
